NEW YORK PC owners thinking about upgrading to cheap windows 8.1 professional have circled July 29 on the calendars. Which is the date Microsoft states the new operating system would be offered to the masses.

Now Microsoft is suggesting that several of you will have to wait well beyond launch day.

The software, which is to be free and deliverable via download, is promised first up to the more than 5 million people that helped the organization test early builds of Windows 10 contained in the Windows Insider program.Access will be granted close to consumers who "registered" for a reproduction of the software, beginning about a month ago.

Microsoft's Terry Myerson, the chief in charge of adobe cs5 design standard , wrote in a company blog on Thursday that "on July 29, we'll start rolling out Windows 10 to Windows Insiders. Following that, we will start notifying reserved systems in waves, slowly scaling up after July 29th. On a daily basis of the roll-out, we are going to listen, learn and update the experience for all Windows 10 users."

Myerson have not provided a certain time frame on the time folks may need to wait prior to being notified that this fresh bits is available onto Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 computers (older versions of Windows aren't compatible). Nevertheless the words "waves" and "slowly scaling" manage to indicate a lengthy wait.

Microsoft's cautious approach is understandable given the ubiquity of Windows, and the fact the company desires to avoid some of the snags that have plagued previous os upgrades. Currently, some 1.5 billion people use versions of Windows worldwide. The brand new software is coming to 190 countries.

Obviously, some new PC hardware running Windows 10 is anticipated to be available for sale at launch. And Microsoft did indicate that there will be a path for power users to grab Windows 10 manually on or after July 29, though no specifics how that might work were provided.
